Margin trading in Latvian lats

Parex banka offers a new service which is unique in the world  — margin trading in Latvian lats!

The terms of margin trading in Latvian lats are as follows:

• Amount of the insurance deposit — at least 2,5 thousand USD.
• Deposit needed for maintenance of an open position (margin) is 2,5%.
• The trading object is USD/LVL and EUR/LVL exchange rate on the spot terms.
• The minimum amount of the deal is 50 thousand. You can increase the amount in steps of  25 thousand.
• The maximum amount of a deal is 2 million.
• The maximum amount of an open position is 5 million.
• As a rule, the spread makes 11 basis points for transactions under 250 thousand USD and 7 basis points for transactions equal or exceeding 250 thousand USD.
• Customers’ open positions are swapped overnight with a change of settlement date depending on current market interest rates +/- 0.2 basis points.
• The bank accepts for execution all standard market forms of orders (Stop, Limit, GTC, OCO, OTO and others), that are valid during one trading day (good till end of day).
• No additional fees are charged.
• Trading day: from 9:00 a.m. till 17:00 on working days.
