The representative office of Parex banka in Stockholm was established in 2002. In January 2006, the Bank restructured its existing office into a branch by registering it with the Swedish Register of Enterprises. The branch opened officially its doors to customers on May 10, 2006, becoming the second branch of Parex banka in Western European countries. In line with the Bank’s strategy and expansion plan to Western European countries and taking into account the high level of interest received from clients in Sweden, Parex banka opened a customer service centre in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city, in August 2007. The latter is an important key point for economic-financially attractive Öresund region. The main services offered in Sweden include account services, saving accounts, deposits and payment cards. The branches and Malmo customer centre continuously the competitive interest rates and high yield deposit products, i.e., annual interest rate of term deposits in Swedish kronor reaches 5,10 %, if the term is not shorter than one year. In September 2008, Parex banka opened a second customer-service centre in Sweden, in Gothenburg.
